If you are a connoisseur or sommelier, this may not be the experience you’re looking for. However, we intend to cater to all so if you are more advanced then please let us know ahead of time. We will be ready for your next level questions!
The primary purpose is fun. We will go over flavor profiles, how to taste, history, and fun facts. Unless asked, we won’t dive into the distillation process or advanced details as for many, it can be confusing and overwhelming. If you would like that level of instruction, please let us know and we can tailor your class to meet your expectations.
We typically pour four 1 oz pours. To put that in perspective, your average whiskey and coke has 1.5 oz and a martini has about 3 oz. We know you’ll have your favorites. There’s no pressure to finish a tasting that isn’t your speed and we encourage you not to imbibe on those which are not your favorites. This way you can save room for those that are. Sorry, we do not pour extra for any reason!
We will provide tastings of each spirit, tasting notes, pens, glassware, knowledge and lots of laughs. You bring any food you may want, your friends, and a fun, positive attitude.
Anyone can attend the information part of the event (even if you’re under 21). However, you must have a valid government ID on you and be over 21 to drink in the presence of our instructor. If anyone not fitting this criteria consumes alcohol in our presence, we will end the event and no refund will be given.
Tips are always appreciated for a job well done, but they are never expected. However, if you feel our instructor exceeded your expectations (and we suspect this will be the case) then a tip wouldn’t be out of order.
Up to 72 hours out, you will receive a full refund. Inside 72 hours, we will work with you to book another experience at a time that better works for you. Refunds within the 72 hour window will be handled on a case by case basis and at the sole discretion of imbibesocial.
